Distinct Whirlybirds
At Distinct Roof Services we use great quality, Australian made, Windmaster roof ventilators. They are backed by a 15 year warranty and available in 20 colourbond colours (see colour chart right)
The manufacturer recommends one whirly bird per hundred square meters. This ensures effectiveness and longevity.

WIND DRIVEN VENTILATION
Made right here in Australia, the Windmaster is a high qaulity, aluminium, wind driven ventilator.
Wind driven ventilation is essential for any home looking to maximise its thermal performance and subsequently minimise its electricity costs and carbon footprint.
Whirly birds work by using wind and rising heat to essentially create a vacuum that pulls hot air straight out of your roof sapce. This will prevent heat from back flowing back into the house. Even when there is no wind, your whirly bird will continue work by a process known as the stack effect. This is a natural process where rising heat will create different pressures and continue to spin the vent.

Powered Ventilation
We are also happy to be offering powered ventilation. Powered ventilators are a premium product and offer a highly efficient means of reducing roof space heat and humidity. We offer two forms of powered ventilation: Solar and Main powered.
Airomatic (mains powered)
Green Vent (solar powered)
Airomatic is another high quality, Australian made product. Although it is powered through a standard General Power Outlet (GPO), the
airomatic operates on only around $35 of electricity per year. The product's efficiency is in large part due to the inbuilt heat and humidity sensors, ensuring the motor only runs when it needs to. One Airomatic moves the same volume of air as about 6 standard whirly birds!
Standard Installs are $800 inc GST. (including power point/GPO installation)
With WA's abundance of sunlight, solar powered products are becoming ever more popular. Similar to the Airomatic, Green Vents move a significantly higher volume of air as compared to a wind driven vent.
Standard Installs are $700 inc GST.
For a small additional cost, we can also add a conversion kit that will allow the Green Vent to run off of mains power when the sun isn't out. (please email enquiry)
